Pair of oak chairs with Pieds os de mouton (sheep-bone legs) and serpentine stretchers, characteristic of French seating furniture of the Louis XIII period. Upholstered in later Bargello flame-stitch needlework, a decorative embroidery technique with origins in 17th-century Italy, here reinterpreted in blue, cream, and grey tones.
